What's Next?

The Hub is already welcoming children and families, but our vision has always been bigger than simply opening the doors.

Our next projects will create even more opportunities for children with additional and complex needs to play, explore, develop and enjoy experiences designed around them. And we need your help to make them happen.

Soft Play Room

A fully accessible soft play space where children can climb, move, explore and develop confidence in a safe environment designed around a wide range of needs.

Interactive Room

An immersive space combining projection, movement and interactive technology to create engaging experiences that can adapt to different children, abilities and needs.

Accessible Garden

Our long-term vision is to transform the outdoor space into a fully accessible garden where children and families can play, explore, relax and enjoy nature without barriers.

Soft Play Room

We want to transform the Soft Play Room into a fully accessible play environment designed around children with a wide range of physical, sensory and developmental needs.

Traditional soft play environments can be difficult or impossible for some of the children we support to access. Our aim is to create something different: a safe, inclusive environment where children can explore movement, develop confidence and, most importantly, have fun.

The space could include:

  • Accessible and inclusive soft play equipment
  • Climbing, crawling and movement areas
  • Sensory and tactile features
  • Equipment supporting balance and coordination
  • Quiet areas for children who need time away from stimulation
  • A layout designed around a wide range of mobility and support needs

Interactive Room

Our Interactive Room will combine projection, movement and interactive technology to create experiences that respond directly to the children using them.

A floor could become a pond that ripples beneath a child's wheelchair, a football pitch, a colourful sensory landscape or an educational activity.

The important part is that the environment can change with the child.

We want the room to provide:

  • Interactive floor and wall projection
  • Movement-responsive activities
  • Sensory experiences
  • Educational games
  • Calming environments
  • Cause-and-effect activities
  • Experiences adaptable to different abilities
  • Opportunities for individual and group sessions

The Accessible Garden

Our vision doesn't stop at the doors of The Hub.

We want to transform our outdoor space into a fully accessible garden where children and families can play, explore nature, relax and spend time together without the barriers often found in traditional outdoor spaces.

This isn't simply about creating a beautiful garden. We want to create another part of The Hub.

Our vision includes:

  • Fully accessible pathways
  • Wheelchair-accessible play and activity areas
  • Sensory planting
  • Raised beds and accessible gardening
  • Quiet and sheltered spaces
  • Outdoor sensory experiences
  • Accessible seating and social areas
  • Nature and wildlife areas
  • Spaces for activities and learning
  • Areas where whole families can spend time together

More Than Money.

Fundraising is a huge part of making our plans possible, but support doesn't always have to come in the form of a donation. The Hub has already benefited enormously from businesses, tradespeople, volunteers and supporters giving their time, skills, materials and expertise.

Whether you're an individual who wants to get involved or a business that can help with something specific, there are plenty of ways to be part of what comes next.

Donate

Donations to Brody’s Trust help us provide accessible access to our service. Your generosity makes a lasting impact by improving the lives of SEN children and their families in Gloucestershire and beyond.

Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer with Brody’s Trust means you’ll directly support SEN children by assisting with sensory play, organising events, and helping families feel welcomed and included in a safe, fun environment.

Partner with us

Corporate partners help us through sponsorships, team volunteering, and fundraising. Together, we can create lasting partnerships that benefit SEN children while supporting your CSR goals and community engagement.

Other ways to help

There are plenty of other ways to support Brody’s Trust. From fundraising and volunteering to regular giving, events and simply helping us spread the word, every bit of support helps us continue our work with children and families.
